Albert Wayne McCreery November 22, 1932 - June 8, 2011
Albert McCreery, 78, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Hancock Regional Hospital.
He was born November 22, 1932 in Muncie to the late Delray and Jessie (Driscol) McCreery.
Albert was in the U.S. Army and was a paratrooper for the 82nd Airborne. He trained in tool and die making at Western Electric and retired after 34 years at GM Truck & Bus of Indianapolis. He was a member of Calvary Tabernacle in Indianapolis. He loved building doll houses and making knives.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patsy (Medlin) McCreery of Greenfield; daughter Michelle Bowman of Caledonia, OH; sons, Terry W. (Raylene) McCreery of Greenfield, Tim (Gabriella) McCreery of Greenfield, Gary (Gayle) McCreery of Indianapolis; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Calvary Tabernacle, 902 Fletcher Avenue, Indianapolis, with Rev. Paul Mooney officiating. Burial will follow on a later date at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday at the Tabernacle.
