Alice V. Dawson December 12, 1917 - August 10, 2010 Alice V. Dawson, 92, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Regency Place of Greenfield. She was born December 12, 1917 in Clayton Wisconsin to the late Christian Bigler and Elsie (Gentz) Wenger. Alice was a Physical Therapist for 35 years, a certified LPN and a homemaker. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church of Greenfield and a member of the Purple Heart Auxiliary of Minneapolis. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles and was a sports fan who loved the Minnesota Twins, Vikings and the Indianapolis Colts. She is survived by daughter-in-law, Marlys Jacoby of Greenfield; grandsons, Michael and Phillip Jacoby; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Dawson, son, Eugene Jacoby; brothers, Fred and Arnold Bigler; sisters, Ruth Bigler Berggren and Esther Bigler Abuehl; step-father, Ernest Wenger. Services will be held at a later date. There will be no services held locally. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. James Lutheran Church, 1741 South State Street Greenfield, IN 46140.
