Alice Jean (White) Shirley, 68, Anderson, Indiana, passed away February 24, 2022. She was born on March 12, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland, to G. Cleveland and Billie Jean (Moore) White.
She worked as a kitchen aide for Pendleton Heights High School as well as a corrections officer for St. Marys Correctional Facility in Kentucky and the Coffee Correctional Facility in Georgia. She attended Ivy Tech Community College. She loved to crochet. She also had a love for animals. She was of the Christian faith.
Alice is survived by her husband of 17 years, Jeffrey L. Shirley; children: Alisa Bennett, Kevin Sykes, Tammy Ramirez, and Dolly White; stepdaughter, Lynn Cochran; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and brother, Steve White.
Visitation will be held on Alice and Jeffrey's anniversary, Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana. The funeral service will be held the following day, Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Greenfield.
