Allan D. Chandler, age 75 of Greenfield passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Riverwalk Village, Noblesville. He was born May 30, 1944 in Greenfield to the late Thomas F. and Nondus C. (Wilson) Chandler.
He proudly served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam era. Allan worked for Roll Coater for several years and prior to his retirement was a computer technician for the Department of Defense at Fort Benjamin Harrison. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Allan was a long-time member of the Oaklandon VFW and the American Legion.
Allan is survived by his children, Tom (Naomi) Carleton, Addy (Dan) Forrest, Josh (Susie) Chandler: siblings, Nicole Goodyear, Diane Foster, Anne (Norman) Elsbury and Cynthia (Brett) Hester; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Erin Lowder that looked after his care and wellbeing. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call 4-7 pm, Monday, December 16, 2019 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral service, 11 am, Tuesday, December 17 at the funeral home with Tracy Gray officiating. Burial with Military Rites provided by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard immediately following at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
