Alma M. Hook

Alma M. Hook, age 96 of Greenfield passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Springhurst Health Campus. She was born September 10, 1922 in Freeport, Indiana to the late Clarence and Mary (Miller) Brooks. Alma loved people and never knew a stranger. She enjoyed working in her yard and traveling. She was a long-time member of the Red Hat Society, Greenfield Lions Club, the Greenfield Moose Lodge and Trinity United Methodist Church. Prior to her retirement Alma worked for 25 years in the kitchen at Greenfield Junior High School. She is survived by her children, Joseph (Carman Hall) Merriman of Greenfield, Robert (Brenda) Hook of Fountaintown and Donna (Edward) Davis of Greenfield; sister Harriot OConnor of Indianapolis; brother, Wayne Brooks; 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Preceding Alma in death are her parents listed above; husband, Robert Hook; son, William Merriman; sisters, Marie Perguson, Doris Phares and brother, Tom Brooks.
