Alta Diane (Preston) Goens

Alta Diane (Preston) Goens, 78, life-long Greenfield resident, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Diane was born on February 26, 1947, in Greenfield, to Clarence and Cecil M. (McPherson) Preston.

Diane was a simple woman but loved with a big heart. She cherished her family dearly. She relished when everyone was able to attend family reunions and get-togethers. She enjoyed camping, reading, and games of all sorts. Yearly highlights included she and a large group of ladies from the family traveling to Pigeon Forge, TN for weekly shopping and relaxation. She worked for Electra and then Southwestern Bell for many years prior to retirement.

Diane is survived by her dear loving family: son, Roy (Joanna) Goens; nieces: Barbara Andis, Judy Sexton, Jane Ellenberger, Cheryl (Randy) Millican, Linda (Perry) Shepard, Margaret (Joe) Elliott, and Joan Collett; nephew, Jimmy Cox; grandchildren: Jessica Dudley, Maverick Williamson, Piper Williamson, Aspen Williamson, Ashland Dudley, and Lexi Hamm; several great-grandchildren; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 12 siblings; husband, Ted Goens; and daughter, Pamela Sue Williamson.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the service immediately following. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Suburban Hospice as a jester to the great care they exhibited to Diane.
