Alton "Johnny" Lee Roy Johnson Jr.

Alton Lee Roy "Johnny" Johnson Jr., 73, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026.

Born November 6, 1952, in Greenfield, Indiana, Alton was the son of the late Alton and Phyllis Johnson. He graduated from Greenfield High School in 1971 and served in the United States Navy from 1973 to 1979 serving on the USS Vreeland. Following his military service, he continued his education at Ivy Tech Community College.

On June 14, 1986, he married the love of his life, Debra Johnson, with whom he shared a life of devotion and partnership. Alton worked for many years as a machinist at Euclid Machine Company, retiring in 2021.

He enjoyed photography, air shows, and riding his motorcycle. Above all, he cherished time with family. Alton expressed his love though presence, constancy, and thoughtful care as a husband, stepfather, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Debra; stepchildren Shannon (Ken) Rustin, Shelly Harvey, Kevin Harvey, and Sherri Harvey; grandchildren Rebecca and Rachel Rustin and Mateo Harvey; sisters Janet Cline and Anita Johnson; and many other family members.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield. The funeral will be held the following the visitation at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Andy Fink. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
