Andrea J Scott

Andrea J Scott, 59, of Cumberland, IN, passed away on September 30, 2025, after a short but difficult health battle. She faced her final months with incredible bravery and strength, fighting to the very end without ever giving up her spirit.

Andrea was a beloved best friend, a loyal sister, and a devoted dog mother. She found deep solace and companionship with her canine companions, often communicating with them more openly and honestly than she could with people. She had a special, profound bond with her little Rocky; they were truly two peas in a pod. Her other dog, Mabel Grace, was more of a challenge, but Andrea loved and cared for her just as much.

A true "ride or die" friend, Andrea shared an unbreakable soul sister bond with Shellie Wagner. She will also be remembered as the family entertainer during holiday gatherings, where she shared her love through her famous cooking. Family members looked forward to her celebrated chicken and noodles for Thanksgiving and her unique cheese ball creation. Her nephews will always remember her passion for watching the Detroit Lions play football on Thanksgiving Day.

A quiet and private person, Andrea kept many of her feelings to herself, but her food was how she showed her great love for her family.

She will be deeply missed.

Andrea is preceded in death by her chosen mother and father. She is survived by her sisters Shellie, Pam, and Kimberly; and her nephews Kenny, Aaron, and Logan.

May she find peace and rest, knowing she was so truly loved.
