Anthony Joseph Farrell

Anthony "Tony" Joseph Farrell, 53, of Morristown, IN passed away on June 16, 2022 in Heltonville, IN. He was born to the late Patrick Edward and Carolyn Ann (Koesters) Farrell on June 2, 1969 in Indianapolis, IN. He married Leslie Anne (Rybicki) Farrell on December 6, 2008. Tony loved football, both playing at Eastern Illinois University and coaching at Fishers High School. He enjoyed being an outdoorsman and tinkerer. His favorite activities were spending time with his wife, children and family, hunting with his bird dogs, and hiking. He served as a dedicated Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Officer and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was a detective with IMPD and a liaison with Joint Terrorism Task Force. He is survived by his loving wife, Leslie; his 2 children, Anthony Joseph (Courtney) Farrell II and Malerie Louise Farrell; his beloved granddaughter, Presley Farrell; siblings, Patrick (Carol) Farrell, Brian (Denise) Farrell, Colleen "Sis" Farrell, Christine (Bill) Levy and Mark (Kara) Farrell; sister in laws, Karen (Jeff) Menke, Suzanna Farrell and Karen Farrell, brother in law, Tom (Kelly) Rybicki, mother and father in law, Larry and Jean Rybicki; his uncle, Fr. Mike Farrell and Aunt Barb Farrell, along with 19 nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his brothers, Kevin "Mel" Farrell and Daniel "Duffy" Farrell. Services for Tony will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Shelbyville, with visitation at 9:30 AM and a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM. Interment to follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Indianapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tony's memory to the Anthony Farrell Grandchildren's Education Fund at Professional Police Officer's Credit Union.
