Art Shuler

Arthur "Art" Merle Shuler II, age 78, of Greenfield passed away January 28, 2023 at Springhurst Healthcare Center. He was born August 4, 1944 in Wallace, Indiana to the late Arthur M. and Virginia (Thompson) Shuler. He was married to Catherine Louise (Schindler) Shuler in 1969, and she survives.

Arthur was a graduate of Columbus High School and had a long career in finance. A veteran of the United States Navy, he was assigned to the destroyer USS Picking and served two tours in Vietnam, from 1963 to 1967. Arthur retired after a long career with the U.S. government as a DFAS Contract Specialist. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing; and he enjoyed playing any kind of card games.

In addition to his wife, Arthur is survived by his two children, Lisa (Darryl) Wineinger and Stuart (Stephanie) Shuler; and grandchildren, Megan and Kristen Wineinger, and Tripp and Raelynn Shuler. He is preceded in death by his parents, listed above; and his brother, Stuart Michael Shuler.
