Barbara J. Gray

Barbara J. (Vest) Evans, age 73 of Greenfield, IN passed away on Wednesday, September 7th 2016 at Brandywine Golden Living Center in Greenfield. She was born on March 2nd 1943 in Greenfield to Donald and Ethel (Swords) Vest. Barbara married the love of her life Glen E. Evans on June 17, 1960. She spent her life working at Brandywine Golden Living Center in the Dietary Department for 23 years until her retirement in 1986. Barbara was active in the American Legion, Eagles, and the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed many things including shopping for purses and shoes. Most of all Barbara enjoyed spending time at home with her family. Surviving Barbara are her parents listed above, son, Raymond (Lisa) Evans of Wilkinson; daughters, Barbara (Bill) Geary of Fountaintown; brother, Jimmy Vest, sister, Ida Sobe, 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren Preceding her in death are her parents listed above, husband Glen E. Evans who passed away in 2008. Brothers; Donald, Larry, and Norman Vest; sisters; Alice Massy, Charlene Collins, and Janet Raymer, and a great-granddaughter Isabelle Grace. Visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 6:00pm on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, September 12, 2016 at the funeral home with burial immediately following at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
