Betty Ann Hammer June 30, 1940 - November 7, 2012 Betty A. Hammer, 72 of Greenfield passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at IU Health Methodist Hospital. Betty was born June 30, 1940 in Carrollton, KY to the late Arthur Rocker and Nana Lucille (Vories) Schirmer. Betty loved to paint and was an avid gardener, hunter and loved to fish. She was also a member of the Ghent Baptist Church, Ghent, KY. She is survived by son; Mark Steven Wright (Stephanie Linde) of Greenfield, daughters; Teresa Ann Wright of Greenfield and Jeanene Leigh (Mark) LaMaster of Palos Hills, IL., sisters; Mary Lou Smith, June Darnold and Martha Jean Earle and former husband, Jerry Hammer. Betty was preceded in death by, first husband Billy Howard Wright, brother; Stanley "Buster" Schirmer and sister, Sara Louise Bohannon. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 17 at Ghent Baptist Church, Ghent, KY. Local arrangements entrusted to Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Hancock County.
