Betty L. Johnson

Betty L. Johnson, 82 of Greenfield, IN passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at her residence. She was born on September 2, 1935 in Kent, Indiana to the late Delmar and Mary McCaslin. Betty married the love of her life James R. "J.R." Johnson on August 5, 1954. Betty was a graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. She was a member of the New Palestine United Church. She loved spending time with her family, reading, playing cards and going to the casino. Left to cherish Bettys memory is her son James R. (Fred Pope) Johnson II; Her 3 daughters; Tina (Joseph) Evans, Joni (Tim) Rockey & Jamie (Tim) Sweet; 8 Grandchildren; Jason Adcock, Michael Ball, Jeremy Adcock, Melia Sweet, Chris Johnson, Chuck Meadows, Nick Sweet & Stephanie Jones. Also, 2 sisters; Margaret Chesher, and Ruth Dudley and 21 Great-Grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by her husband James, parents, and two brothers Delmar and Bill McCaslin Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 W. Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A graveside service with Pastor Rick Mooreland officiating will be held following the visitation at 1:30pm at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, 621 S. State St, Greenfield, IN 46140.
