Betty J Mattsey

Betty J. Mattsey, age 88, of Greenfield, passed away on May 18, 2020 at Greenfield Healthcare. She was born on December 4, 1931, in Clinton, IN to the late Domenic Rolle & Margaret Rolle. Betty graduated from Clinton High School in 1949. She married the love of her life, Walter E. Mattsey, on December 6, 1952. Betty was a devoted member of Faith Lutheran Church. She spent her career with the U.S. Army Finance Center as a clerk until her retirement in 1996. Betty was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Greenfield Senior Center. Betty enjoyed traveling, reading and soap operas "stories" as she called them, but more than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her precious family who she loved dearly. Left to cherish Betty's memory are her children; Robert (Debbie) Mattsey, Allan (Janet) Mattsey and Phyllis (Todd) Long, grandchildren; Tammy (Kenny) Wheeler, Tracy (Ty) McKerlie, Brooke (Jason) Knapp, Jon (Heather) Absher, Michelle (Jason) Armstrong, Heather (Brant) Grigsby, Amber (Dennis) Phelps, Kaley (Josh) Miller, Angela(Danny) Soliday, Jason (Kristina) Maxwell and Josiah (Sarah) Long, several great-grandchildren, sister; Phyllis Lambert, nephew; Mike (Debbie) Lambert and niece; Tomi Jean(David) John. Betty is proceeded in death by her parents listed above, and her husband Walter on January 31, 1986. Betty's family will have private services at a later date.
