Billie Mac Mize, 81, Charlottesville, IN, passed away September 15, 2021, in Indianapolis. He was born on April 2, 1940, in Greenfield to William and Vera Mize. Billie attended Greenfield High School. He would later marry his love, Arlene Duff.
Billie was a workaholic, seldom taking a moment for himself. He was an entrepreneur in every sense of the word. He was not afraid to try anything nor build anything. He was full of love and loved his family and church immensely. Billie was a dedicated member of Greenfield Church of God.
Billie is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Arlene Mize; their children: Billy Mize, Patricia Fields, and Kathie Mize; 5 grandchildren: Corey Mize, Eric Fields, Christopher Mize, Kyle Mize, and Alicia (Scott) Adair; 9 great-grandchildren: Donavyn Adair, Jeremy Rabenold, Myia Mize, Tyler Fields, Taylor Mize, Jordyn Mize, Chelsea Adair, Addison Fields, and Edyn Mize; brother, Raymond Mize; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Mize; mother, Vera Platze; and 5 siblings.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the service immediately following at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Billie's nephew, Pastor Ira Scott.
