Billie L. Thomason November 22, 1926 - May 18, 2008 Billie L. Thomason, 81, of Greenfield passed away Sunday, May 16, 2008 at Golden Living Center at Brandywine. He was born November 22, 1926 in Bluefield, West Virginia to the late Robert Green and Ada Lee (Hall) Thomason. Mr. Thomason loved to spend time with his grandchildren and to care for his family. He loved being outdoors, in particular fishing, taking care of his orchard, bee keeping and cultivating his garden. He spent time in the army and was a member of the Free Masons. He retired from Boise Cascade in 1989. Survivors Include: wife, Ruby L. (Jones) Thomason of Greenfield, daughter, Jacqueline (William) Arthur of Greenfield; brothers, Robert (Yvonne) Green Thomason Jr. of Bluefield, West Virginia, Charles (Mary) Thomason of Bluefield, Virginia; sister, Trula Mumford of Florida; 4 grandchildren, Alva & Grant Leisure, and Dawna & John Puttick. He is preceded in death by brothers, Fred and John Thomason; sisters, Helen (Thomason) Blackburn, Elizabeth (Thomason) Farley, and Janie (Thomason) Shutt. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel in Greenfield, Indiana, with Pastor Mark Bundy officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis. Friends may call Thursday 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association 9135 N.
