Blanche (Thomas) Phillips

Blanche (Thomas) Phillips, 94, Greenfield, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 13, 2025, as family stood by her side. Blanche was born on August 10, 1930, in Pikeville, KY, to parents Frank and Elizabeth Thomas. She was one of ten children. She married Paul E. Phillips on November 3, 1947.

Blanche praised the Lord and preached His Word to everyone she encountered. She was a blessed member of 48 years with Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Greenfield. She was so proud of working in their kitchen to aid in bereavement and celebration dinners for fellow parishioners and their loved ones. Second to the Lord, she loved her family to the fullest and was proud to see her children grow and excel. And when grandchildren arrived, she spoiled them. Blanche grew wonderful vegetables and flowers and had many gardens to tend to. She participated in Farmer's Markets as late as this past harvest. She was an excellent quilter and baker. Blanche proudly worked at Hancock Hospital for 17 years.

Blanche is survived by her loving children: Peggy (Danny) Robertson, Connie Dickinson, Rosemary Phillips, and Paul Phillips, Jr.; 7 grandchildren were lucky to call her grandma; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Sr.; and 8 siblings.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield. The funeral service will be held the next morning at 10:00 a.m. at Apostolic Pentecostal Church, 1202 East 5th Street, Greenfield, with Pastor Joe Riggs officiating. Entombment will take place in Washington Park East Mausoleum, Indianapolis.
