Brad Gray

April 17, 1960 — January 9, 2019

Brad A. Gray, age 58 of Greenfield passed away January 9, 2019 in Monticello, KY. He was born April 17, 1960 in Greenfield to Samuel and Mary Lou (Lukens) Gray. Brad was an entrepreneur long before his 1978 graduation from Knightstown High School. He married the love of his life Michelle (Sims) Gray on June 12th, 1993 and made their home and raised their family in Greenfield. Brad never knew a stranger. As the long-time owner/operator of Gray Auto Sales he came to have many friends. He loved all people and they loved him. He will be remembered by many as kind and honest individual with a passion for helping his fellow man. A long-time member and former Elder of Brandywine Community Church, Brad brought many people to know Christ and participated in many mission trips. Brad instilled his servants heart to his daughters Rachael and Sydney. They will continue to follow his lead and carry on his work. An avid financial supporter of the Good Samaritan Orphanage in Haiti, the children always called him dad Gray or lollipop man. Brad had a love for his community and no matter the cause he could always be counted on to provide to those in need without recognition. His life revolved around his wife, children and grandchildren. He shared his love of dirt track auto racing with his boys. His racing family spanned coast to coast and his forever friendships were always held close to his heart. You could count on seeing Brads Facebook posts with one or all of his grandkids nearby. His time spent in Kentucky four wheeling and making memories with his family was pure joy for Brad. His grandsons looked forward to their "Boys Trip" every year but Brad was always more excited than they were! Brad loved to play cards with his family and loved to win. Brad will be forever missed by his wife, Michelle; children, Brinton (Darci) Gray of Greenfield, Brandon (Danyelle) Gray of Shirley, Dustin Gray of Greenfield, Rachael (Casimir) Gray-Jean Marie of Provo, Utah, Sydney Gray of Greenfield; grandchildren, Rylan, Kasen, Bristol, Austin, Emerson; brother, Brian (Nora) Gray: sisters, Debbie (Marty) Wells, Sandra (Dennis) Muncy; in-laws, Jim (Melinda) Sims, Janis Henderson; brother in laws Michael (Vickie) Sims, Cameron (Ashley) Sims and several nieces and nephews.
