Brenda Sue Emmons

Brenda Sue Emmons, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on March 4, 2024. Brenda was born on August 1, 1943, in Oswald, West Virginia to George Maroney and Betty (Ferguson) Maroney. She was one of eight children.

Brenda was a wonderful homemaker who loved nurturing and caring for her four children. She enjoyed her trips to the casino in her spare time. She could play the guitar and sing so beautifully. She also loved traveling, spending time with her family, but especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Brenda leaves to cherish her memory, her four children, Susan Fair, Lloyd (Tee) Humphrey, Becky O'Neal and Stonie Humphrey, all of Greenfield, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Wesley Fair, Jarrod Fair, Jeremy Humphrey, Rachel Crosby, Zachary O'Neal Cameron Humphrey, Braedon Humphrey, and Parker Humphrey; five great-grandchildren; five siblings, Delores Georgio of NY., Eunice Peck of WV., Pat (Kim) Maroney of WV., Sandra (Tommie) Holley of WV., and Betty (Johnny) Neely of WV.; sister-in-law, Barbara Maroney; brothers-in-law, Donnie (Florence) Emmons and Jake (Ginna) Emmons.

She was preceded by her husband, Larry Joe Emmons, her parents, George and Betty Maroney and two brothers, Billy Maroney and Bobby Maroney.

There will be a celebration of Brenda's life on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main St. Greenfield, IN 46140. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m.
