Calvin C. Gray

Calvin Coolidge Gray, age 94 of Shirley, passed away peacefully July 31, 2022, at Greenfield Healthcare. He was born September 1, 1927, in Tiff City, Missouri to the late Ora and Florence (Landon) Gray. He married Claudine Hanna on December 1, 1949. He spent his working career at Allison's Transmissions for 30 years and Gas America Corporation after his retirement for 25 years. Calvin had impeccable Christian values and instilled those values in his children and grandchildren. Together, Calvin and Claudine took many other children to church and Sunday School to ensure they too had the opportunity to learn about Jesus. He is survived by his children, C.K. "Bud" (Jeannine) Gray, Cheryl (Tom) King, Carla (Mick) Ireton; sister-in-law; Mary Helen Ritan; daughter in law, Crystal Gray; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Calvin is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Claudine; infant son, Jeff; son, Stephen Gray. Friends may call 11 am -1 pm, Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral service at 1 pm with Mick Ireton officiating.
