Carl Ryan Blackford

Carl Ryan Blackford, age 40, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Monday, October 19, 2020 in Cleveland, Ohio. Carl was born October 17, 1980 to Dianna L. Fugate and Ricki Dee Blackford. Carl was a gamer. He was the Store Manager for Gamer's Loot, which fueled his passion for video games as well as board games. He loved attending Gen Con and would seek out gaming opportunities wherever possible. Carl is survived by his son, Tyler Alan Blackford; mother and stepfather, Dianna and Alexander Fugate; father and stepmother, Ricki and Sheila Blackford; brothers, Jason (Robyn) Blackford and Phillip (Shyennee) Smith; stepsisters, Laurie (Chuck) Gardner, Christina Malcolm, Emily (Mike) Schaefer and Jessica Hosier; grandmother, Joyce Tuxhorn; grandparents, Virginia and Carl Decker, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his stepbrother, Matt Hosier. Friends may call Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 4-7 pm at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 26, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Interment to immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, Indiana. Memorial Contributions may be made in the name of Carl Blackford, under the care of Stillinger Family Funeral Home. The family has requested that, due to COVID-19, all those attending to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
