Carl M. Davis

Carl M. Davis, age 72 of Greenfield passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born August 18, 1944 in Shelby County, Indiana to the late Harold A. and Alice M. (Pettit) Davis. He was a 1962 graduate of Carthage High School. Carl married Phyllis Davis on May 25, 2004. Prior to his retirement, Carl was a Pipe Fitter for Culligan Fire Protection for 24 years before moving to Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis for 10 years. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, Pro-Union U.A.W, Local 669-Pipefitter, member of the FOP #140, and was a very compassionate and charitable man. Carl is survived by his wife; Phyllis Davis, children; David (Mike) Davis of Shelbyville IN, Terri (Gary) Driesbach of Carthage IN, step-children; Rick (Pam) Schonfeld of Shreveport LA, Scott Schonfeld of Shelbyville IN, sisters; Kay (Dahl) Petry of Arlington IN, Ruth (Jerry) May of Carthage IN, brothers; Darrell (Mary Anne) Davis of FL, Alvin H. Davis of New Castle IN, 5 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 1 step-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Carl is preceded in death by his parents, son; Larry Allen Davis, and sister; Martha West. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday October 12th, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Thursday October 13th, 2016 at the funeral home, with burial immediately following at East Hill Cemetery in Arlington IN.
