Carl V. Lambert, 82 of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 22, 1935 in Indianapolis to the late Cecil & Mildred (Johnting) Lambert.
Carl graduated from Manuel High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1964. He spent his career at the Indianapolis Police Department until 1987 and the United States Postal Service in 1997. Carl married the love of his life, Dorothea Fischer on July 25, 1957. Carl was a member of the F&AM Masonic Lodge and recently received his 50-year pin. He was also a member of Shriners Club, Elks Lodge, and F.O.P.
Left to cherish Carls memory is his son; Kenneth L (Sandra) Lambert of Greenfield, daughter; Cynthia (Charles) Parks of Greenfield; brothers, Robert (Sheila) Lambert of Indianapolis; Al (Rosemary) Lambert of New York; sisters, Lula (Charles) Brown of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Crystal Jackson (Scott) and Bryan (Heidi) Parks both of Greenfield; and two great grandchildren, Andrew Horning and Megan Horning.
Preceding Carl in death are his parents mentioned above; wife, Dorothea Lambert; brothers, Virgil, Wm. Bill and James Lambert; and sister, Ruth Scharborough.
Visitation for Carl will be held from 10am to 12pm on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00pm. Military honors will be rendered at the conclusion of the service. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
