Carlos Anderson, age 72, of Greenfield passed away, Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at IU Simon Cancer Center surrounded by his family. He was born May 18, 1947 in Fleming-Neon, KY. To the late George C. and Betty Ann (Webb) Anderson.
Carlos was co-owner and operator of Anderson Construction for over 35 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was assigned to a Huey Helicopter Unit as a gunner during his tour of duty. He was an active member of the VFW, FOP Lodge 140 and the American Legion. He was an avid Colt's fan and held season tickets for over 20 years. He enjoyed NASCAR and loved attending the Daytona 500, spending summers at Lake Cumberland boating and riding his Harley but more than anything he loved spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Angela (Gary) Jackson, Christy (Mike) Heiny; significant other, Debbie Lyons; siblings, Emma Cole, Wilma June (Bill) Baker, Hershel (Carolyn Anderson) Anderson, Mabelene (Winston) Hammons; sister-in-law, Nancy Anderson; grandchildren, Dalton, Brennon and Jordan Jackson, Michaela and Spencer Heiny, Tyson Williams, Tarah-Jo McClintick; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Carlos is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Brose Anderson; brother-in-law, Larry Cole and nephews Vernon Chris Cole & Junior Anderson.
Friends may call 2-6 pm, Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral service 10 am, Monday February 17, at the funeral home. Burial with military rites provided by the U.S. Army and Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard immediately following at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
