Caroline J. Rowe September 17, 1934 - March 21, 2014 Caroline J. Rowe, age 79, of Greenfield passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab, Greenfield. She was born September 17, 1934 in Danville, IL to the late Rexford and Kathleen (Armstrong) Copsy. Caroline was a 1953 graduate of Covington High School and attended Purdue University at Hammond. Caroline married Joseph H. Rowe on February 14, 1953. She was a beautician and homemaker and also worked for Burns Security in Crawfordsville, IN. Caroline was a member of the 1st Church of Christ, Covington and the V.F.W. Auxiliary, St. John, IN. She loved to quilt, knit, read, bake and spend time with her children and grandchildren. Caroline especially enjoyed teaching them to bake. She is survived by daughters; Paula (Joe) McCain of Greenfield, Jill (James) Bielak of Cedar Lake, IN, Deborah Rowe and husband David Taylor of Jacksonville, FL, sister; Nancy Copsy, Mattoon, IL brother; Peter (Brenda) Copsy, also of Mattoon, 5 grandchildren, 3 step-grandsons and 3 great-grandchildren. Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph Rowe, in 2004, son, Joseph Rowe Jr., brothers; Rex and George Copsy, sisters; Phyllis Whittington, Kathleen Masulis and Juanita Zeigler. The funeral will be Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., at Cross of Grace Lutheran Church in New Palestine, IN. Burial will follow at 3:00 P.M., Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Covington, IN. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield.
