Carolyn L. Burton November 29, 1942 - June 8, 2008 Carolyn L. Burton, 65, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008 at her residence. She was born November 29, 1942 in Liberty, Kentucky to the late James Lincoln and Etta (Young) Holt. She attended Casey County High School in Liberty, KY, was a homemaker, loved to travel, attend auctions, and loved animals. She loved her family and spending time with them. She is survived by husband, Eugene Burton of Greenfield whom she married January 9, 1960; daughter, Angela (Jesse) Melton of Greenfield; granddaughters, Brooke and Brittany Melton, both of Greenfield; brother, Ray (Joann) Holt of Mt. Washington, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Gene and Bill Holt; sisters, Bessie Eberly and Betty Farmer. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2008 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield with Chris Braschler officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call Thursday, June 12, 2008 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society; Memorial and Tribute Gifts, 1755 Abbey Rd., East Lansing, MI 48823 or Hancock Regional Hospice, 801 N. State Street, Greenfield. She was kind, full of love, and always willing to help anyone. Her love for animals was amazing. She always put her family first and loved them so much.
