Carolyn Cottey May 31, 1932 - May 26, 2011 Carolyn Cottey, 78, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born May 31, 1932 in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania to the late Edward, Sr. and Dorothy (Bradfield) Ryan. Carolyn graduated from Moon Township High School in Coraopolis, PA, she was a homemaker, worked at Indiana Knit Wear and was part owner of Cottey Machine Company of Greenfield. She attended Park Chapel Church, was an avid bowler, enjoyed traveling, being outdoors, hiking on trails, spending time on the beach, swimming, traveling the state parks and dunes. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Don (Dana) Cottey of Greenfield, Annette (Norm) Taylor of Bedford, Karen Yater of Fishers; brothers, Alan, Donald and William Ryan; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Glen E. Cottey in January 2005; brothers, Edward and Robert Ryan; sisters, Barbara Walls and Dorothy Neal. Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield with Pastor David Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery, Pendleton. Friends may call Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
