Carroll W. Bodkin

Carroll W. Bodkin, age 93 passed away on May 23, 2016 at the Ellison House in Greenfield. She was born on April 19, 1923 in Mohawk, IN to the late Jesse M. and Edith (Westenfeld) Barnard. Carroll graduated from Mt. Comfort High School and would later marry the love of her life Arthur L. Bodkin Jr. on October 24, 1940. She spent her life working in the Agricultural Department for the U.S. Government. Carroll was the past worthy Matron of the McCordsville/Eden Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a former member of the Bunco Club, Republican Party, Ladies Aid and the Home Ec. Club and the Eastern Star Auxiliary. Carroll was a member of the Mohawk United Methodist Church. Surviving Carroll are her daughters, Karen S. (Jim) McClammer of Fortville; Trudy A. (Douglas) Donley of Greenfield; 3 grandchildren, Dennis McClammer, Lori (Randy) Kendrick, Keith S. (Kimberly) Donley, and 5 great- grandchildren Cody Kendrick, Casey Kendrick, Brett Donley, Heath Donley and Keian Gatewood. She was preceded in death by her parents listed above, husband Arthur Bodkin Jr.who passed away in 2003, sister, Luella Seyfferle and a grandson Douglas Donley Jr. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am at Mohawk United Methodist Church, 2045 West 400 North, Greenfield, IN 46140 on Friday, May 27, 2016 with burial immediately following at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Memorial Contributions in honor of Carroll may be sent directly to the Mohawk United Methodist Church, 2045 West 400 North, Greenfield, IN 46140.
