Charles R. Harker age 87 of Greenfield passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 at Kindred Transitional Care in Greenfield. He was born September 9, 1928 in Correctionville, Iowa to the late Orval and Edith (Gould) Harker.
Charles served in the U.S. Army in the 84th Engineering Construction Battalion during the Korean War. He was discharged at Camp Carson, Colorado. He married Dorothy Devine on May 25, 1955. Charles was a Union Carpenter, working for R. Harker Construction before retiring in 1988. He was a member of the 1st Christian Church.
He is survived his children, Tim Harker of Griffith, Ind., Chuck (Barb) Harker of Noblesville, Karen (Mark) Jackson of Greenfield; brothers, Bob (Roberta) Harker, Arnie Harker; sisters, Merna (Bob) Pope, Doris Redman, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy Harker, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Friends may call from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a funeral service beginning at 12:00pm on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Burial will immediately follow the service at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
