Charles Holmes April 7, 1928 - February 15, 2012 Charles L. "Chet" Holmes age 83, a resident of Greenfield passed away Wednesday February 15, 2012 at Kindred Healthcare, Greenfield. He was born April 7, 1928 in Hancock County, Indiana to the late Maurice O. and Ruth R. (Harrison) Holmes. He was a graduate of Greenfield High School, retired from farming in 1986 and was a member of the Eden United Methodist Church, former school bus driver for Hancock Central Schools and former security supervisor at St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove. Survivors include his daughter, Victoria Lynn (Robert) Doss of Greenfield, sisters, Betty Lutsko of Orlando, Fl, Joan Payne of Charlottesville, IN, Jeanne Frazier of Philadelphia, IN, grandchildren, Ryan (Ginger) Ferris, Bryan (Lori) Sewell, Trisha (Jason) Evans, Aaron (Sara) Kincade and 4 great grand-children. He was preceded in death by his life-long companion, Beverly Ann Sonley, daughter, Pamela Kincade, sister, Karen Grinstead, brothers, Earl, James, Robert, Richard and Larry Holmes. Friends may call Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery, Wilkinson.
