Christine Hurt

Christine Hurt, 86 of Waverly, Ohio and formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on August 8, 1932 in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Jim & Minnie Glass. Christine spent her career at JennAir Appliances until her retirement. She married the love of her life, Harold Hurt on August 1, 1949. Christine was a former member of Bethel Baptist Church and currently was a member of Waverly Baptist Temple. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, being active within the church, but most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren who she loved dearly. Left to cherish Christines memory are her daughters, Karen (Rick) Goodman; Dale Gentry; brother, Jay Glass; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. Preceding Christine in death are her parents mentioned above; husband, Harold Hurt; one brother; and two sisters. Visitation for Christine will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main St., Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 1:00pm with Pastor Randall Parker officiating. Burial will follow the service at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
