Clyde Carl Wilkins

Clyde Carl Wilkins, Jr. August 25, 1926 - March 8, 2009 Clyde Carl Wilkins, Jr., 82, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Community Hospital South, Indianapolis. He was born August 25, 1926 in Martins Ferry, OH to the late Clyde C. and Anna E. (Baggott) Wilkins. Clyde served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He retired from the United States Post Office in 1990 as a rural carrier after 25 years of service. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Fortville, American Legion Post #119, VFW Post 2693. He is survived by daughters, Lynn W. Sheffield of Ocala, FL; Donna Lang of FL; Diane (Terry) Gunn of Greenwood, IN; sons, Daniel J. Wilkins of Bunker hill, IN and Christopher C. (Kim) Wilkins of Greenfield, IN; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Judith Diane (Exner) Wilkins; sister, Hannah Jane (Wilkins) Campbell; brothers, Paul Ray and Donald Smith Wilkins. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield with Father Joe Pesola officiating. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Indianapolis with military rites provided by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of the donors choice.
