Colleen (Findley) Stearley, age 85 of Greenfield, IN passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Westminster Village North in Indianapolis. She was born on February 26, 1931 in Cincinnati, OH to the late John & Alberta (Higgins) Findley.
Colleen graduated from Mt. Healthy High School in Cincinnati. She married the love of her life Clyde Stearley on January 12, 1957 and would spend her life as a homemaker raising her six children who she loved dearly. Colleen enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts, Purdue Basketball, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and volunteering at Community East Hospital. Colleen was a previous parishioner at St. Simon Catholic Church and most recently at St. Michael Catholic Church in Greenfield.
Surviving Colleen are her daughters, Peggy Hill of Fishers; Kathleen (Kevin) Gregory of Greenwood; Annie (Bob) Moss of Greenfield; Molly Stearley of Indianapolis; son, Mike (Donna) Stearley of Fishers; brother, Charlie Findley of Ft. Myers, FL; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding Colleen in death are her parents listed above; husband, Clyde Stearley; and son, Pat Stearley; son-in-law, Charlie Hill; her two great-grandsons, Brady and Cameron; and three brothers.
Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Fr. Aaron Jenkins officiating. Entombment will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
