Dave Meeker

Dave Meeker, 69 years, a resident of New Palestine, passed away November 1, 2026, at Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield. He was born May 7, 1957, in Hammond, Indiana to the late William F. and Barbara (Miller) Meeker.

Dave graduated from Munster High School in 1975, and received his bachelor of science degree in Biomedical Engineering in 1979. He worked as a Biomedical Engineer for both Methodist and St Vincent Hospitals. He also enjoyed his career as a freelance photographer that he started in the 90’s, then later started his own Cyber Security Concierge business, “Bringing Tech 2 You”. He was a motivational speaker and an outstanding mentor to many people, especially the youth at YMCA Camp Eberhart in Three Rivers, Michigan. He was actively involved in his daughters' lives and was always pushing them to do their best and learn from every situation. He served his community by being a member of the Sugar Creek Volunteer Fire Department where he was an EMT and Rescue Captain. He was also a member of the New Palestine Chamber of Commerce, the Skyline Club, started New Palestine “Open 4 Biz” during covid, and was the former President of Women in Communication.

He is survived by his wife, Connie (Kelly) Meeker whom he married on July 15, 1978, daughters, Alyssa (Mark) Burkhart, Katrina (Brian) Kawczynski, Jennifer (Micah Kirby) Meeker; brother, Steve (Dee) Meeker; 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Kanen, Alexis, Kara, Lex and longtime friend, Tom “Coop” Cooper.

Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2026, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Hendryx New Palestine Chapel, 19 E. Main Street, New Palestine, Indiana 46163. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery, New Palestine, Ind.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in memory of Dave Meeker to YMCA Camp Eberhart, Attn. Camp Scholarships, 10481 Camp Eberhart Rd, Three Rivers, Michigan 49093. The money will be going towards sending kids to summer camp.
