David Lee Eaks June 13, 1942 - February 24, 2009 David Lee Eaks, 66, a lifelong resident of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at his residence. He was born June 13, 1942 in Greenfield and was the son of the late Delmar Dale and Susanna (Butler) Eaks. David was a 1960 graduate of Greenfield High School. He served with the Indiana National Guard for 11 years. He was employed with Muegge Plumbing and Heating and was a purchaser for several manufacturing facilities in Indianapolis. He was a member of Calvary Christian Fellowship, Greenfield and was also part of the missions team. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Jane" (Howell) Eaks of Greenfield; sons, David Lee Eaks II of Greenfield; Patrick Wayne (Danielle) Eaks of Anderson, IN; daughter, Rhonda (Tracy) Gray of Greenfield; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Mervin and James Phillip Eaks; sister, Carolyn Eaks Taylor. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2009 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield with Tracy Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call Thursday, February 26, 2009 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the funeral service. Memorial contributions may be submitted to the "Friends for the Benefit of David Eaks Estate" c/o Union Savings and Loan Association, 1986 W. Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140 or to the Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice 931 East 86th Street, Ste. 208 Indianapolis, IN 46240. Webcasting will be a available for the funeral service.
