David Meredith Kitley

David Meredith Kitley, 91, Fairland, Indiana, left us early Saturday morning, July 26, 2025, to reunite with Ginny. He was the seventh (and last) son of John Alvin Logan Kitley and Lillie Idella Ulrey Kitley, born on February 18, 1934, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He graduated from Franklin Township High School in 1951. He then attended Indiana University from 1951 to 1952. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on October 12, 1954, and graduated from Naval Flight Training. He flew F3 Demons. In 1956, he met the love of his life, Virginia Ann Beal. They married on August 9, 1958. On August 21, 1958, he was honorably discharged. David graduated from Pharmacy School at Butler University.

David owned Kitley Drugstore on Post Road and 52 for many years. In October 1975, the entire family moved to Woodland Park, Colorado. There, he established and owned Kitley Pharmacy. He and Ginny then moved to Lake Havasu in 1988. After her passing in 2001, David moved to Fairland in 2005. Throughout his later years, he kept his pilots license and flew Cessna and Beech Bonanza planes. He also had a love for show horses. He enjoyed the rural country setting until his passing.

He is survived by his son, David Matthew Kitley (Cheryl); his daughter, Elizabeth Suzanne Butler; his daughter, Margaret Ann Kitley, his one and only grandchild, Desiree Kitley, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and soul mate, Virginia A. Beal Kitley, his parents and his six wonderful brothers, Jesse Kitley, Dale Kitley, Charles Kitley, John Kitley, Mark Kitley, and Paul Kitley.
