David J. Stitt November 6, 1928 - June 2, 2010
David J. Stitt, 81, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Hancock Regional Hospital.
He was born November 6, 1928 in Marion, Indiana to the late Jesse T. and Eva (Miller) Stitt.
David served and retired from the U.S. Army having served in WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He worked as a safety engineer after his military career and was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Helga Stitt of Greenfield; daughters, Linda Harmon of Greenfield, Liliana (Peter) Covington-Nissan of New York, NY; grandchildren, Leslie Kelder, Christopher Convington and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Jean Bowley and Margaret Wilson.
Private services will be held at the familys request. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield.
