Daymon E. Belcher December 3, 1927 - March 20, 2013 Daymon E. Belcher, 85, of Greenfield passed away on Wednesday March 20, 2013 at the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation. He was born on December 3, 1927 in Dunbar, KY, the son of the late Thaxton and Ida (Barrow) Belcher. Daymon retired from the Brookside Corporation of McCordsville in 1990 and was a member of Local 6168, United Steel Workers Union. He was a 63 year charter member of the Grace Baptist Church, a longtime deacon and Sunday school teacher. Daymon loved western movies, taking care of his yard and animal lover. He served his country in the U.S. Army in World War II where he was stationed at Okinawa, Japan, He is survived by son, Randy (Theresa) Belcher of Willow Branch, daughter, Linda (Robert) Johnson of Greenfield, 4 granddaughters, Tammy Schultz, Tonya Coffman, Jennifer Reynolds, Amy Van Duyn, great-granddaughter, Samantha Schultz, 2 great- grandsons Jack Walls, Joe Walls and a brother, Guy Belcher of Greenfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen (Rush) Belcher, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday March 25, 2013 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W. Main St. Greenfield, Ind. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday March 26, 2013 at Grace Baptist Church, 4245 N. 200 W. Greenfield, Ind. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield with military graveside rites provided by Greenfield Veteran Honor Guard. Memorial donations can be made to Grace Baptist Church 4245 North 200 West Greenfield, IN 46140.
