Obituary

Deborah Ann Kraus, 71 years, a resident of Wilkinson, passed away Wednesday morning, June 24, 2026, at Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield. She was born March 18, 1955, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late James B. and Dorothy (Gill) Bewley.

Debbie graduated from Eastern Hancock High School in 1973, was a member of New Hope Community Church, the Bible Study Fellowship and was a prayer warrior. She enjoyed spending quality time with her husband and traveling to places like Shipshewana and Gatlinburg. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, working puzzles, cooking for her family and especially caring for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Ron Kraus, whom she married on July 24,1976, children, April (David) Shepherd, Matt (Meagan) Kraus, Hannah (Eric) Hershberger, siblings, Frances (Rodger) Stephenson, Dora Bradley, Jewell (John) Scrogham, Sandra (James) Bowen, Jesse (Mary) Bewley, George (Carol) Bewley, Phil (Debbie) Bewley, Tom (Debi) Bewley, sister-in-law, Debby Whelchel, grandchildren, Elizabeth, Maggie, Mae, Emily, Olivia, James, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above, brothers, James and Paul Bewley and sister, Beth Kraft.

Visitation will be Monday, June 29, 2026, 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W. Main Street, Greenfield, Ind. 46140. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with her loving husband officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield, Ind.
