Delores Ann (Barnes) Davis

Delores "Dee" Ann (Barnes) Davis, age 88, of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away peacefully May 21, 2023, at Majestic Care of Carmel, Carmel, Indiana. Dee was born on September 17, 1934, in Blackwell, Oklahoma to the late Omer Davis Barnes and Pauline Lucille (Gilmer) Barnes. She married Keith Richard Davis on July 24, 1954.

Dee will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother ("GG"). She was understandably proud of her 12 years serving Greenfield Community Schools as an administrative assistant after earning her associate degree from a business college. She was also an entrepreneur, owning and managing the bake shop, Dee's Cakery, for ten years until her retirement in 1990. Dee was an active member of Bradley United Methodist Church, Greenfield, where she was a member of the Bradley Beacon Bunch and the Hilltoppers social group. She loved cooking, especially for her beloved family. She loved to sew and was a talented quilter. Golfing was another of Dee's passions, and she also enjoyed travelling. A favorite destination was to enjoy the beautiful golf courses of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Above all, she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving son, Kevin Davis; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Dee is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Keith of nearly 68 years; loving son, Kirby R. Davis; and brother, Dennis Barnes.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home – Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana, 46140. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. An inurnment will take place in Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
