Dennis Ray Rohrig

Dennis R. Rohrig, age 73 of Greenfield passed away Monday, July 17, 2023, in Greenfield. He was born September 19, 1949, in Rapid City, South Dakota to the late Raymond and Margaret (Dimock) Rohrig. He married Denise (Horine) Rohrig in 2001.

Dennis had an exemplary U.S. Navy career earning 2 Silver Stars and 3 Bronze Stars. He loved attending church and was a member of Greater Grace Church of Greenfield. He was an avid hiker having hiked the Appalachian Trail 3 times. He was a long-time member of the San Diego Jeep Club. Above all, Dennis was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife, Denise; children, Rick (Grace) Rohrig, Barbara (Randall) Horkman, Christy (Jeff) Jenkins, and Doug (Tina) Jessee; grandchildren, Peter Luviana, Zoey Rohrig, Ashley Nicole, Robert Horkman, Blake Horkman, Liana Sandlin, Allison Bilbrey, Jessee Nova Lovegood, Jhoana Castillo, Nicholas Jessee, and Aryel Jessee; 11 great grandchildren and his Jack Russell, "Scottie".

Friends may call 1:00 – 4:00 pm, Monday, July 24, 2023, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral service at 4:00 pm with Military Rites provided by the Greenfield Veteran's Honor Guard following the service.
