Derel Leon Caldwell February 16, 1961 - March 28, 2012 Derel Leon Caldwell age 51, of Fountaintown and formerly of Morristown passed away March 28, 2012 in Nokomis, Florida. He was born February 16, 1961 to Paul H. and Wanda May (Weaver) Caldwell. He was a 1979 graduate of Morristown High School. Derel worked in the family business starting at age 11 with his father until his father's death in 2001 and continued as owner and operator up until his retirement in 2004. He then branched out as a mechanical contractor. He is known as a devoted father to his two children, a dear uncle, a protective big brother, endearing life-long and loyal friend to those who really knew him. To his co- workers he is respected as a man who can do anything, fix everything, and drive all things. He defined family in his actions and called his dad his best friend. He carried on his father's beliefs of community pride by being a member of the NRA, a former EMT and Volunteer Fireman in Morristown. One of his proudest accomplishments was helping to start the first girl's Derby Day Race in Morristown's history in 2000. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by a daughter, Chelsea Caldwell, a Son, Paul Caldwell both of Fountaintown, mother, Wanda Caldwell of Morristown, sisters, Cheri (Tom) Caldwell- Wicker of Shelbyville, Linda (Bruce) Muegge of Carthage, brothers, Lani Caldwell of, St. Paul, Minn., Mike Caldwell of Morristown, Dana (Audra) Caldwell of Freeport, Ind., three nieces, six nephews, 1 great-niece and 3 great-nephews. His father, Paul H. Caldwell, preceded him in death in 2001. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
