Donald David Dismore September 21, 1947 - September 11, 2012 Donald David "DIZ" Dismore, 64 of Indianapolis passed away on Tuesday September 11, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 21, 1947, the son of the late David Austin and Helen (Andrew) Dismore September 21, 1947 He grew up in Greenfield and attended Greenfield High School and attended Purdue University on a full football scholarship in 1965. He was named the parade all American football player his Jr. and Senior year. He was the only player to receive this honor from Greenfield High School and was an all conference high school football player for four years an all state football player for two years. He competed in the state wrestling in 1965 and he was inducted into the Greenfield Central High School Athletic Hall of Fame in February of 2005. He retired from the Iron workers Local # 22 in 1987; he was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Shelbyville. The most important things in Donalds life was loving his family, friends and having fun. Survivors include his loving children, Kimberly Wilkins of Fountain town and Alisha Dismore of Indianapolis, grandchildren, Tim Dismore, Keri Batten, Matthew Yocum, Hannah Jane Wilkins, Nathan Shelton and Devin Wheeler, great-grandchildren, Kaylan, Carleigh Dismore and David Alomar, sisters, Sharon Lively of Kokomo, Linda Gressette of Indianapolis and Meridth (Larry Brokering of Shelbyville, several beloved nieces, nephews along with great- nieces and nephews. Donald had many loyal friends that were good to him though the years and he cherished them all Comments Donnie and I were only 2 years apart, we were fiends all my life. We sat in the park together waiting the first day of his job there. So many memories. Donnie was always " the best friend, loyal friend, protector, honest man. It was an honor and a joy to have known him. My complete sympathy to all his family and friends.
