Donald Eugene Dudley

Donald Eugene Dudley, 85, of Mooresville, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Meadow Lakes Nursing Facility. He was born on December 14, 1937, in New Castle, IN, the son of Mildred Viola (Knotts) and James Melvin, Dudley, Sr. Donald was a graduate of New Castle High School and served in the U.S. Army.

Donald retired from Eli Lilly and Company in the mid-1990s after 38 years of dedicated service as a lab technician. He was a member of the Greenfield Christian Church and served on various committees throughout his many years with the church. Donald also held his real estate broker license and notary public license.

Donald is survived by his son, Don (Angie) Dudley of Mooresville, IN; daughter, Danessa (Eric) Stevens of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren, Dorian Dudley and Dillon Dudley; siblings, Arnold (Celesta) Dudley of Muncie, IN and Phyllis (Jim) Moffitt of LaGrange, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Ruth (McCaslin) Dudley; and brother, James Melvin (Peggy) Dudley, Jr. of Kennard, IN.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 23, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Greenfield Christian Church, 23 North East Street, Greenfield, IN 46140, with the funeral service starting at 1:00 p.m., also at the church. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery with full military rites afforded.
