Donald Eugene Holden

Donald Eugene Holden, 69, Maxwell, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Donald was born on June 10, 1954, in Greenfield, to Dale and Betty (Springer) Holden. Donald is a 1973 graduate of Greenfield Central High School. On February 22, 1975, he married the love of his life, Debbie A. Johnson.

Donald was a tremendously loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him and will be sadly missed. Donald was self-employed with Holden Construction, recently retiring in September 2023. His love for his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends was unmeasurable. Donald worked alongside, fished together, and raised his family with his best friend, his loving wife, Debbie. In addition to family, fishing was a close second. Donald was ranked 6th in the State of Indiana with The Hoosier Open Tournaments. He and friends would additionally travel to surrounding states finding their favorite fishing holes. Donald was also a part of The Chelsea Bass Masters Club out of Madison, IN. Donald also enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting and camping with friends.

Donald is survived by his loving wife Debbie of 49 years; their daughters, Carrie (Travis) Tincher and Heather (Chris) Forsberg; grandchildren: Matthew (Stacie) Bowman, Alex (Garrett) Bowman, Kobie (Mel) Bowman, Shelby Tincher, and Brayden (Hannah) Tincher; great-grandchildren: Addie Bowman, Ella Bowman, Everleigh Shores, and Jace Bowman; brother, Larry (Vickie) Holden; nephews, Scotty Holden, Tony (Robin) Holden, and Paul (Jodi) Holden; and many, many fishing buddies.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles Holden.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the service immediately following at 1:00 p.m., officiated by great friend, Terry McWilliams.
