Donald W. Howard December 30, 1916 - May 1, 2007
Donald W. Howard, Jr., 90, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at the Hancock Regional Hospital.
He was born December 30, 1916 in Noblesville to the late Donald W. and Lena (Adams) Howard.
He graduated from Greenfield High School in 1935 and received his engineering degree from Purdue University, going on to work as an engineer for Wilhelm Construction in Indianapolis. He enjoyed woodworking and drawing, and was a proud WWII veteran, having served his country with the Marine Corps in many places including Guadalcanal.
He is survived by his sons, Donald W. (Rana) Howard III of Greenfield, David A. Howard of Denver, CO; 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Howard, whom he married in July of 1945; and his brother, Jay Howard.
Funeral service will be at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with calling there from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery.
