Donald W. Murphy

Donald W. Murphy, age 73 of Fishers, IN, passed away on September 11, 2017. He was born on April 18, 1944 in Evansville, IN to the late Douglas & Ethel (Stubbs) Murphy. Surviving Don is his wife, Gaylora (Oppy) Murphy of Fishers; daughters, Christi (Greg) Robinson of Holly Springs, NC; Kara (Christian) Ulloa of Waxhaw, NC; sister, Marilyn (John) Israel of Evansville, IN; sister-in-law, Martha Murphy; grandchildren, Rebecca; Ali; Kathryn; Chloe; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Don in death are his parents and brother, Gary Murphy. Don was a loving husband, father and grandfather and passionate about his business. As owner and President of PPMI Firestop, he devoted 25 years to making the business a success. He was a charter member of FCIA Firestop Association and served in many leadership positions. Don enjoyed good food and wine, spoiling his family, and socializing with great friends. He was a devoted Colts fan and season ticket holder. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 W. Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at New Richmond Cemetery in New Richmond at 1:00pm.
