Donna Ione (Ayres) Kuppler

Donna Ione (Ayres) Kuppler, 85, formerly of Charlottesville, IN, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021 at her son's residence in Germantown, IL. Donna was born on December 15, 1935 in Indianapolis to William Curtis and Dorothy Violet (Enders) Ayres. She is a 1953 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis. She then graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Indianapolis, IN as a Registered Nurse in May 1956. She married her love, Vance Allen Kuppler, on October 26, 1958. Donna was a tremendously loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her and will be sadly missed. She worked in the nursing field for 30 years in various places, including Community Hospital in Indianapolis. She also worked in a nursing home capacity for 10-12 years as well as part time at the GE factory in Shelbyville, IN. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Greenfield, St. Mark Lutheran Church in Shelbyville, and Blessed Savior Lutheran Church in O'Fallon, IL. Donna enjoyed camping, traveling to historic destinations, touring older homes, gardening, canning, and crafts and quilting. But, above all, she enjoyed her family and their activities. Donna is survived by her loving children: Lisa (Ray) Lee and Curtis (Patti) Kuppler; foster-daughter, Terri (Bill) Cooper; granddaughter, Jessica (fiancé Luke Sears) Carron; brother, Bill Ayres; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Vance of 45 years and her parents. Visitation will be on both Friday, August 13, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield and again on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 200 West McKenzie Road, Greenfield. The funeral service will be on Saturday, also at the church that Donna so adored, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor William O'Connor officiating. Burial will take place in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, New Palestine, IN, where Donna will be laid to rest next to her husband. In lieu of flowers/plants, the family suggests making a memorial contribution to the Alzheimer's Association, 50 East 91st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46240 and/or a charity of your choice.
