Donna E Lett

Donna Lett, 85 years, a resident of Greenfield, died Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Community Hospital North, Indianapolis. She was born October 18, 1938, in Evansville, Indiana to the late George A., Sr. & Emma L (Strobel) Heineman.

She is survived by her children, Stephen Lett, Richard (Cindy) Lett, Denise ( Andy) Arland, brother, Walter "Doug" Heineman, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above, husband, John Lett, a brother, George A. Heineman Jr., and her daughter-in-law Teresa Lett.

Donna spent her career as a Dietary Supervisor in several different health care facilities. She continued to work part-time after retirement at Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield, where she enjoyed speaking to patients while she worked in the Nutrition Services call center. When her children were young, she dedicated her life to raising them, travelling across the Midwest with them to pursue their hobby as amateur competitive roller skaters. She sewed hundreds of skating and dance costumes over the years. Once she became a grandmother, she poured her time, heart and soul into her grandchildren. In her later years she sang in the Greenfield Community Choir and even joined her grandson's power wheelchair soccer team at age 75, playing goalie for the Hot Shots for 3 years.

Visitation will be Friday, October 18, 2024, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W. Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at later date in Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
