Doris Howard

Doris Howard March 7, 1926 - February 28, 2008 Doris L. Howard, 81, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born March 7, 1926 in Damascus, Virginia to the late Walter and Bessie (Matherly) Parker. She was a secretary for Chrysler for 30 years, a member of the Knightstown United Methodist Church, attended Bradley United Methodist Church, member of the Red Hat Society, volunteered and read to elementary school children. She is survived by a son, John (Jackie) Howard of Greencastle; granddaughters, Jessica and Janelle; great-granddaughter, Gretchen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arch Howard, 1997. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield with Rev. Terry Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Summit cemetery. Friends may call Monday, March 3, 2008 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. I " have always remembered Doris as a wonderful lady and a true representative of one who loved her Lord. My condolences to the family.
